please tell me you watched the september issue.  i'm notorious for i phoning, flipping through magazines, making elaborate snacks, and general apathetic behavior during movies, but this one kept my interest for all 90 minutes.

grace was one of my favorite cast members, so i was tickled to read she sold her memoir.

i struggled for some time about what to buy the wonderful ladies who would be by my side on my wedding day... after seeing this photo on stylemepretty, i seriously considered buying plum pretty robes for everyone.

 

ultimately, i decided on something a bit more understated for my sophisticated bridal brigade.  enter eberjey.  i first learned of the brand on a little blog called a cup of jo.  (by the way, she often posts great coupon codes for eberjey.)  i was instantly smitten by their prima ballerina collection, specifically the sorbet pink color.  the palest shade of pink paired with tea stained lace and super soft fabric equated to the perfect choice.  

i think it's the perfect pretty for lounging.

sorry for the silence, i spent the last week in russia!  i saw the kremlin and the inside of many, many malls (for work.)  it was an interesting experience to say the least.

despite the time spent in shopping malls, i didn't come home from russia with keepsakes (other than a persistent sore throat and sniffles.)  between the vat tax and the lack of time, i decided to save my purchases for american soil.

i love a dainty bracelet or necklace... after losing 1 too many nashelle bracelets (my necklace is still going strong) i might convert to gorjana  for my delicate doodads...  aren't these pretty?

our wedding flowers were featured on our wonderful florist's blog today.  she did an absolutely wonderful job producing the exact floral look i imagined!  she was so easy to work with, always responded quickly, offered helpful suggestions, and provided the sweetest compliments.  i really can't say enough positive things about asako!

how cute is this photo montage?

i came up with this crazy notion that i should buy all my own vases and votive holders and ship them to california from ohio for the wedding- after investing in 30+ containers, i started to doubt my vision, but asako assured me that everything would look beautiful.

i wanted to incorporate elements of my mother's wedding dress and asako did a beautiful job of including the lace and beading detail in my bouquet.

i know colored denim is the thing, but it wasn't until i saw this picture of cameron diaz that i felt the need to get behind it.

i don't love these j brand skinnies... all the colors are too jolting for me.

but these pale rose mid-rise j brands (seen on rachel bilson) would look great paired with a neutral, tailored blazer a la cameron diaz.

sparkly pretties.

i love these pomellato nudo rings... but they're way out of my price range.

i think these less expensive baubles would make worthy contenders...

although they're not rings, these kate spade earrings share the pomellato ring's faceted lure and candy-like color quality.

i love the shape of this dress... and don't get me started on nautical navy stripes.  although it looks borderline inappropriate in the length department, it's definitely worth a see.

i can see clearly now.

i am a contact lens wearin girl: it's the first thing i do in the morning and the last thing i do in the evening... however, i think it would be nice to have a pair of glasses around for travel.  enter warby parker.

i was watching sunday morning a couple weeks ago, when a story of 4 wharton grads caught my attention.  stylish, inexpensive glasses available on the internet, the option to try on the eyewear "virtually," free shipping, home try-ons, returns...  and the icing on the cake?  their toms-like business model: for each pair purchased, they donate glasses and funds to visionspring.

i finally caved today and bought something that's been on my ever-evolving "want" list for a while: a rachel leigh audrey bracelet.  i first spotted these little beauties over at summer is a verb and when it was featured again today, my love was rekindled and i knew it was time to bite the bullet.

i have a thing for bows... what can i say?

you don't know jack?

ever since i was gifted a pair of jack rogers sandals (by my stylish aunt) 10-15 years ago, i've had a pair in circulation....  for versatility, i love the navajo sandal in platinum.  they literally go with anything.

when i spotted a pair at leal this weekend for 50% off, i couldn't turn them down.  the pair i had were looking a little long in the tooth and in my experience, jack rogers are almost exclusively sold full-price, so it was a great find at the high-end boutique.

even if you can't find a pair on sale, they're definitely worth it... you can't contest jackie.
